June 30, 2026 – A new world of stories and imagination has opened up for the students of SDN 06 Wolasi, South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi. On June 30, 2026, Taman Bacaan Pelangi (TBP) officially inaugurated its 262nd child-friendly library at the school, bringing 1,250 copies of children’s books across more than 400 titles to young readers. The inauguration was attended by Givaudan’s CEO and team, TBP’s key partner in developing child-friendly libraries in South Konawe, as well as Mr. Jainuddin Pagala, Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Education Quality Assurance Agency (BPMP), and his team.

The students of SDN 06 Wolasi were visibly excited about their new library. Throughout the one-month development process, from the initial survey and room renovation to the library’s interior arrangement, they had been wondering, “What will our new library look like?” Their curiosity was finally answered on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, when they visited the child-friendly library at their school and read books there for the very first time. Through this program, Taman Bacaan Pelangi provided 1,250 copies of children’s books, featuring more than 400 different titles.

“Thank you to Taman Bacaan Pelangi for renovating our library and providing such interesting children’s books. We hope that through this program, our students will develop a more regular reading habit,” said Ms. Diah, a first-grade teacher at SDN 06 Wolasi. Similar appreciation was expressed by Mr. Jainuddin, Head of BPMP Southeast Sulawesi, who thanked Taman Bacaan Pelangi for its contribution to advancing literacy in Southeast Sulawesi, also known as Bumi Anoa.

Now, the children of SDN 06 Wolasi are ready to embark on adventures around the world, explore outer space, and let their imaginations soar through the books available in their new child-friendly library.
